This fibro cottage on Scotland Island in the Pittwater north of Sydney, encroached on the neighboring boundary. It had to be jacked up and moved 1 metre. An energy efficient addition was designed and built to take advantage of the north east prevailing wind in summer. The house was insulated in the walls, ceiling and floor and remains at a pleasant temperature all year around requiring no heating or cooling.
