The Company and Our Key Personnel
The Facilitation Team John and Vivienne Benton have had extensive experience as educators and facilitators. They have lectured in energy efficiency at the following: Monash University
Graduate School of Environmental Science As Facilitators, John and Vivienne Benton have spent 30 years working in all areas of the entertainment business, teaching drama and communication. They have taught Living History Workshops at schools; Communication to post graduate students in Environmental Science at Monash University, and presented Communication through Theatre Sports for Doctors and Pharmacists for the Monash Division of General Practice. Their Eco Sleuth environmental education Programme has been much acclaimed by both primary and secondary students alike. Vivienne has also been involved with role play for training medical students at Monash Medical Centre and the Alfred Hospital in the treatment of psychological illness. They have
been featured on Gardening Australia talking about co-operative gardening
and living with other species, and are the Producers of the video series
"Tilting at Treadmills". The pilot for this series has been
used both here and overseas as an educational tool for Universities, TAFEs,
Councils, Government Departments, NGOs and private Consultants. John Benton John originally studied electronics at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). He then qualified in Directing for Television at Macquarie University, and in Television in the 21st Century at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. He has studied Neolinguistics at Melbourne University, Environmental Science at Monash University, and Renewable Energy Technology at Casey, Northern and Chisholm TAFEs. Johns
building career as with his acting career has spanned 30 years. He is
perhaps best known for his role as Rod Houghton in Number 96, or more
recently as Mr. Lyle QC in The Castle. In building terms he is best known
for his design for the Centre for Sustainable Living. Vivienne Benton Vivienne has a BA (Multidiscipline) from Victoria College. She studied Developmental Psychology at Rusden; and has a Graduate Diploma and Master of Environmental Science from Monash University. She has completed Sustainability Made Easy and Fast Track Training with The Natural Step, and was presented with the Inaugural MESSA Award for her advocacy on behalf of the environment by the students and staff of the Graduate School of Environmental Science at Monash. She is also
an actor, best known for her role in the long running ABC television series
Bellbird; and most recently played Sal Coffin in the international remake
of Moby Dick. She now uses her acting skills to facilitate understanding
through role play where social and environmental impasse exist.
Both John and Vivienne are passionate about the environment and devoted to helping young people.
